Rolling On My OCR3

 ocr3-1.jpg

Good times and great rides are almost upon us.  Yeah, I ride my bike year around but I always look forward to spring weather for getting out and getting some miles under my belt.  Taking the Eastbank Esplanade out to the Springwater Corridor in the morning is a refreshing trek.

I’d like to be able to get the attention of the local government here in Beaverton to see what they could do about making cycling a little safer.  I ride a lot of commuter miles here in Beaverton but it is always a hazard so when it comes to recreation I find myself riding over the hill to Portland.

No matter, I am jazzed.

Faux Spring In Portland

Today was a remarkable day here in Oregon so I took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and had myself a little photo walk here in Portland.
I was envious of all the cyclists out and about and if the weather is this nice tomorrow I will be back along the waterfront with my bike.

Fly and Bike: The Green Vacation

The completion of the new bike trail connecting PDX with Marine Drive is complete.  Which brings up the topic of the Fly and Drive vacation, or is it Fly and Bike now?  Though not very convenient, this means that a visitor to Portland could conceivably check his bike on his flight, arrive, unpack the bike and then pedal his way around the metro area.  The only issue would be how to store the bike container until his flight back home.

Awesome.  Fuck the rental counters and having to clog the road with yet another vehicle.  A human powered mode of transportation is the way to go.
